SharePoint Stats for WSS 2.0 or SPS 2003
Hi, I am currently running a web log analyser on my SPS2003 / WSS2.0 IIS logs. However I also understand that SP produces STS logs. What is the difference between the IIS and STS logs? I also notice that the IIS logs contain about 6 weeks of history and STS from the start of the year - is this configurable? Thanks C

IIS logs are more detailed than STS logs. IIS logs retained isn't trimmed natively. You must have some kind of cleanup service job running that cleans logs up that are older than 6 weeks. If you're using something like WebTrends to analyze your IIS logs, that'll give you the most detailed usage stats. I trust that answers your question... Thanks C http://www.cjvandyk.com/blog
