SharePoint Services Search - File Not Found.
The Moderator has removed the original text which was identical with the Title and written using an extremely large font that was also made bold. If you HemadriMerala want us to spend our time on your question, replace this text of mine with an explanation of your problem written in a normal font. Do not repeat the title but explain for instance when exactly you are getting file not found. Moderator P.S. This question is in any case already answered in this thread. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointadmin/thread/e2e19440-d03e-4329-8270-aef5be44a26e/#15a6432f-06b0-4679-863f-0bcde1a814ec

Hi HemadriMerala, If you are trying to start the 'Windows SharePoint Services Search' service from Central Administration | Operations | Services on Server, the process fails with the following error: "Error File Not Found". Please make sure the search service account is a member of the following groups on the local machine: Administrators, IIS_WPG, WSS_ADMIN_WPG, WSS_RESTRICTED_WPG, and WSS_WPG. Try to use a different service account to start the search service, then check the effect. If the steps above can’t resolve your issue, you can repair your MOSS server from add/remove program, then reboot the server run configuration wizard without disconnecting from the farm, finally start SharePoint Search service. Hope this helps. Rock WangRock Wang MSFT
