What CD ? WSS 3.0 is a downloadable product and it does not (normally?) come on a CD. P.S. If you mean a CD supplied with the Microsoft Press book "Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Step by Step", then contact Microsoft Press. And do you mean that you met error when you install the SharePoint service through CD?
