Hello,
We have a SharePoint farm (SP2013Std + SP1 + Latest CU) and two SQL servers SQLA (Principal) and SQLB(Mirror). (SQL 2012 Standard on Win2K12R2).
During fail over from SQLA (Principal) -> SQLB(Mirror) SharePoint detects the failover & is able to access the mirror copy and runs fine. Strangely after the failover in the Principal server every second there is the following eventid,
2015-07-28 16:29:00.17 Logon Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 38.
2015-07-28 16:29:00.17 Logon Login failed for user 'Domain\Account'. Reason: Failed to open the explicitly specified database 'DB_name'. [CLIENT: X.X.X.X] -> IP Address of the APP Server where the search service application
runs.
The SQL error logs are filled with this errors.
After some investigation, it looks only the SharePoint_XXXX_Search_CrawlStoreDB is the only one causing the issue. The FailoverSever has been set for all the DB's in the farm.
The Set-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplication has a parameter for failoverserver (Have tried setting through that too), though there is no documentation to use this command.
Other than this error there is no outages or errors in SharePoint. We are even able to crawl and search successfully.Has any one seen this issue before?
Regards,
Harish Kumar
