SharePoint Patch Speed
Hi,I need to confirm a few things regarding patching SharePoint 2007.1. After the binaries are installed the configuration wizard should be run from (Server(s) hosting CA) > App Servers > WFEs)? I have also read once I run the configuration wizard on the first server hosting CA I can run the configuration wizard on the other servers simultaneously. Has anyone done this without issues?2. Can I install the binaries on the server simultaneously and then run the configuration wizard in the recommended order (Server(s) hosting CA) > App Servers > WFEs)? Or must I install the binaries in the same order and wait for this to complete before installing the binaries on another server? Trying to save time because we have a small window.3. Is it ok to have different binaries being updated on each server. Ex WFE01 has a language pack installed, and SP2. App01 just has SP2 installed. This is before the configuration wizard is run. After all binaries are installed then the configuration wizard is run in the suggested order. I wanted to make sure this was supported. In the past the binaries going on the servers have always been the same.Thank you
