> pdf file as read only access in SharePoint Document library Read only in that a user cannot change or delete the copy in the library? Change the permissions for the file, the folder containing the file or the entire library to Read for the target group of users. (Per file permission management is generally not a good idea. Consider put all of the files that need custom permissions in the same folder or library.) Read only in that a user cannot not modify the PDF after it has been downloaded? That change will need to be made to the PDF before the file is uploaded to SharePoint. Mike Smith TechTrainingNotes.blogspot.com

You mean the pdf file should allow users to read the content on the web browser. Also the file neither allow download nor save. is it right? Senthilrajan Kaliyaperumal

Hi Ravikumar.V, Thanks for your reply. You also don’t want to use third party tool. But I can’t find another way. Maybe you can have a look this reference (IRM could limit permission except Edit, copy and save permissions to print documents from a document library). http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc261728(office.12).aspxBest regards.
