You can check the health of Windows Servers that run SharePoint. CPU usage, event logs, memory availability and disk space are some of the things you might want to check.

SQL Server also requires special attention. It is a good idea to monitor SQL server storage and performance to make sure that each production database server is adequately handling the load put on it.

You can use tools like Windows Performance Monitor to analyze system performance.
