I have created an external list using an external content type which uses stored procs for create, update, and delete operations, and uses a view for read item and list operations.

When I try adding a new item to that list using a Web Part, I'm getting the following error message: Item creation not supported for external list at URL '/sites/testwmd/server/Lists/MyList' based on Entity (External Content Type) 'MyExternalContentType', EntityNamespace 'MyNameSpace'.

I have done some research, and I think reason I'm getting this error this list missing NewForm.aspx and EditForm.aspx

When I open this list in SharePoint designer, and click add new form, it throws an error after entering a name for it. Could not save the list changes to the server.

Do you know how can I resolve this issue?
