SharePoint APP server refresh problem
I have a MOSS 2007 farm with 2 x WFEs and 1 x APP. All works fine except if I load the Central Admin from the APP server every morning it always get a 500 HTTP time out. After I refresh the page it works alright. When I look at the IIS log it gives me this: 2010-04-30 00:11:56 W3SVC236104885 10.xxx.xx.xxx GET /default.aspx - 10000 domain\blah&dmin 10.65.9.242 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+6.0;+Windows+NT+5.1;+SV1;+.NET+CLR+2.0.50727;+.NET+CLR+3.0.4506.2152;+.NET+CLR+3.5.30729;+MS-RTC+LM+8) 500 0 0 which does not mean much... I look at the event log: Event Type: Warning Event Source: ASP.NET 2.0.50727.0 Event Category: Web Event Event ID: 1309 Date: 30/04/2010 Time: 10:11:55 AM User: N/A Computer: PEBDAP62 Description: Event code: 3001 Event message: The request has been aborted. ok, open a command prompt... Switch to the .Net 2.0.5727 directory and type "aspnet_regiis.exe -i -enable" on the app server where it's not working.... C:\WINDOWS\microsoft.NER\Framework\v2.0.50727>aspnet_regiis.exe -i -enable C:\WINDOWS\microsoft.NER\Framework64\v2.0.50727>aspnet_regiis.exe -i -enable <- You're not on 64 but just for your info... Let me know if this works... Kris Wagner Kris Wagner, MCITP, MCTS Twitter @sharepointkris Blog: http://www.sharepointkris.com/blog

is there anything in the Windows Event (log) Security at the time you open and reproduce this error. Also any reason you have not put service pack 2 on sharepoint?Kris Wagner, MCITP, MCTS Twitter @sharepointkris Blog: http://www.sharepointkris.com/blog
