In SharePoint 2013 with SP1 version, the file restore to the old version in version history function will show the old modify time, but after I update to the latest new CU, the modify time will be the restore time.

But I can't see any KB description about it, do anyone know which KB have any description about it? and why to fix the modify time? like security issue.

I have tested in two environments, one is SharePoint 2013 on-premise which havent updated CU, another one is SharePoint online with latest CU. Both results are that the Modified Date displayed the restore time instead of old version modified time.

I also found no documentation about KB with Modified Date in version history. And it displays restore time is logical.

It seems there is an issue about Modified Date in your old CU and I suggest you update to the latest CU.

Thanks for your help. I think it is a bug with SharePoint 2013 with SP1, and we fixed it in some of after CU.
