SharePoint 2013 search issue

Hi All,

We have some search issue in our SharePoint 2013 server. These are the settings that we checked

1. In Central Administration >> Web Application (where search is not working) >> User Policy the Crawl account exists.
2. In Central Administration >>Manage Service Applications >> User Profile >> The Crawl Exists for Retrieve People Data for Search Crawlers We ran the full crawl and got following error:

This item and all items under it will not be crawled because the owner has set the NoCrawl flag to prevent it from being searchable

http://sharepointspot.blogspot.sg/2011/02/this-item-and-all-items-under-it-will.html http://alstechtips.blogspot.sg/2014/05/sharepoint-2013-my-site-content-is-not.html

Performed the full crawl multiple times and we still get the following error and received the following error:
Access is denied. Verify that either the Default Content Access Account has access to this repository, or add a crawl rule to crawl this repository
We followed the following links:
http://expertsharepoint.blogspot.sg/2014/05/access-is-denied-verify-that-either.html http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/tgonzalez/archive/2014/03/12/sharepoint-2013-search-crawl-error-access-is-denied-.aspx http://www.ableblue.com/blog/archive/2012/01/04/troubleshooting-sharepoint-search-crawl/ (Used Fiddler)

We used BackConnectionHostNames, entered the web application that is not working and ran the full crawl. We did not restart the server though. Again ran the full crawl and got this different error (I guess because of BackConnectionHostNames)

This item could not be crawled because the crawler could not connect to the repository.

Refereed to this blog post https://curah.microsoft.com/216576/this-item-could-not-be-crawled-because-the-crawler-could-not-connect-to-the-repository performed the full crawl error but still showed this error.
This item could not be crawled because the crawler could not connect to the repository.
Checked the ULS logs and Event viewer. The event viewers showed many 8313 errors in the topology.   A failure was reported when trying to invoke a service application: EndpointFailure
We dont know, what is exact issue for search as we have tried most of options. Any help you be greatly appreciated.

  1. Check server services: all should be started.  In particular, ensure that SharePoint Search Host Controller, SharePoint Server Search 15 and SharePoint Timer Service are all running.
  2. Check SharePoint services: SharePoint Server Search should be running on those SharePoint servers hosting the Index and Crawl search components; the Search Host Controller Service should be running on all servers hosting any search component.
  3. Check Application Pools: look for services having the identity of the search service account (eg, spSearch).  These should all be started.  Make sure ALL application pools are started.
  4. Check websites: ensure that the SharePoint Web Services web application is started.  make sure ALL web applications are started.
  5. Check Search Topology: verify that all components have green checks.

let me know your results.
