SharePoint 2013 Styles not being applied after migration from SP 2010

Hi,

There is a site that is migrated from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013. However, the styles for the Share Documents library is still being referenced as per the SharePoint 2010 styles i.e. "Add new item" link in the bottom(2010) instead of being on the top of the list(2013) as per the below screenshot:

Below image shows the style of SP 2013 after migrating from 2010 site wherein the "New Item" link is not present on top and the ECB menu has the "dropdown arrow" as was in SP 2010 as highlighted:

Below image shows the actual style of SP 2013 wherein the "New Item" link is present on top and the ECB menu has the "..." as highlighted:

Could you please help me resolve the styles as per the SP 2013 environment? Not able to understand this inconsistency across few libraries in the site.

I have even tried to re-create the views in the SP 2013 site, but no luck, since the same styles are applied. Any pointers are appreciated!!

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Edit the page. Then Edit the Web Part, go to Miscellaneous section. Make sure that Server Render is unchecked.

Thanks,

Hi Nadeem,

Unfortunately, i do not have the miscellaneous option coming up for my web part in the page. the last option i see is "Advanced" as shown below:

Anyway i can get the "Ajax" and "Miscellaneous" sections to come up?

Thanks,

Hi Yesh,

That is interesting. I am not sure why cannot see those two sections. Anyways, try to open the page containing the XSLTListViewWebPart in the designer. Look for this  <WebPartPages:XsltListViewWebPart and set ServerRender="False" ClientRender="True"

Thanks,

Nadeem

Hi Nadeem,

Thank you. Tried adding those attributes, but would not work since its missing the reference for those properties i believe. Im guessing, some issue with the migration? Not certain, so im just going to create a new document library and move the items to the new one. On checking the XSLT of the view i have a very weird XSLT for the <XSLTListViewWebPart> tag. Below is the sample of the same, let me know if it makes any sense to you? :)

NORMAL XSLT:

Does that make any sense? why would it be so weird?

Hi Yesh,

The webpart in your case is ListViewWebPart and it doesn't have ServerRender and Client Render Properties. Those are the properties of XSLTListViewWebPart.  You can try minimizing this webpart in the page and then add the document library on the page. Once you are satisfied with new look and feel, you can delete the earlier one.

However, if you want to keep the original one, then change it to XSLTListViewWebPart in the designer. Notice that, if you do that you need to delete ListViewXml property as it is not supoorted by  XSLTListViewWebPart.

Thanks,

Nadeem

Hi Nadeem,

Thanks for that, you could be right. But as you have suggested, i have added the document library itself on the page, and the above is what i get when i edit the page in SPD. Im not sure what the reason is :(
