SharePoint 2013 Search Service Application Configuration

I am having issues creating a Search Service Application in SharePoint 2013. I have tried this through the Central Admin site and when I do I get the following error:

I have looked up this error and many sites have suggested to make sure that the Server Service in services.msc is running (which it is) and to make sure that my account I am using along with the service account I am using to configure the application are member's of the WSS_WPG group and that this group has full control over the following path

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office Servers\15.0\Data\Office Server\Applications to which it does.

even after doing all this and trying to create the Search Service Application I get the same error. I need some assistance and I am stuck on this error...

Setting up the Search Service might be tricky. Lert me ask you few questions then I will be in a better stage to answer.

1] Are you setting up in 3 tier server[Web,App,DB] or search serviuce is getting hosted in a complete different server.

2]What is the method yopu are opting to provision the server?
