SharePoint 2013 New Item form shows inline with list items instead of on a new page.

I have been working on a SharePoint 2013 List Form using InfoPath.

Normally when I hit "New Item" the form opens on a new page, but something has changed and the form now opens inline with the list items.  Essentially you see the list items, then at the bottom, on the same page, is the new form.  It all appears to work OK, I just want to return to the new form opening on a new page, like all my other forms do.  Also, when editing an existing list item the form opens in a new page, so it's just the new item instance that has changed.

Any suggestions on what changed and steps on how to change it back would be most appreciated as I am baffled.

Thanks,
Andy

Hi Andy,

According to your description, the list form which used to open in a new page, now it shows in the same page with the list items.

Can you provide more details(screenshot would be better) about before and after clicking the New item button?

As well as what the URL will be before and after clicking the New item button?

Also, please check the HTML source code of the New item button in IE Developer Tools(F12) to see if there any difference with the normal New item button in other list.

About how to inspect HTML structure of page element using IE Developer Tools:

Hi Andy,

Any update?

What if republishing this form, will the issue still exists?

Best regards

Sorry, I haven't had much chance to really dig into this, and as it's a temporary form, I don't know I will end up being able to justify too much digging time :-(

Patrick, could you please elaborate a little on "republishing the form"?

Thanks,
Andy

Hi,

As it is a form designed by InfoPath, to narrow down the issue, republish the form from InfoPath would be a way to check if there is something unexpected occurred in the form will influence how it display.

Feel free to reply if there any progress.

Thanks
