SharePoint 2010 Incoming E-Mail Doesn't appear in Library

I have an urgent issue; Incoming e-mails are coming in from a newly setup Exchange server to SharePoint 2010, and they are appearing in the Drop folder for the SMTP service (as expected).  The emails are then picked up from the Drop folder into SharePoint, with the ULS logs indicating the message was "successfully processed" (which seems to indicate success), and the eml file is removed from the Drop folder.  However, the email attachment simply does not appear in the destination library or list. All emails are addressed correctly, and the libraries have the correct email address in the incoming email settings.  There are no errors logged in the ULS logs or the Windows Application log (logging is set to "Medium").

In contrast, users who send email from the original Exchange server can have their emails uploaded successfully, and they appear in the library.

Praying for help :)

UPDATE: I have found that the problem affects certain users emailing certain libraries:

  • A user on the new exchange server sends the same email to libraries A and B; it only gets uploaded to A.
  • A user on the old Exchange server can send to libraries A and B, and it gets uploaded to both A and B.

Hi DRVR,

seems we need to trace this email request from sharepoint and exchange.

in exchange there should be a log that track this message issue, if the message said it was delivered, then should be delivered. if not then needs to check on there first.

as sharepoint communicate to exchange and the connection is need to be established, perhaps you may also check at this example of the settings, if the settings are correct, or similar, then we may take more advance steps,

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262947(v=office.14).aspxhttp://sharepointgeorge.com/2010/configuring-incoming-email-sharepoint-2010/

by the way, there is something that i may need your confirmation, do the issue happen only with attachments? so for example if there is no attachments, the email is sent correctly, but when there is attachments, the attachment is not delivered but the mail is delivered?

if its true then, please have a check on this article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc287879(v=office.14).aspx#section6
