SharePoint 2010 - Unable to view Site Columns in Document upload window
hi We are performing a Content Migration between SharePoint 2003 to SharePoint 2010 I am facing a problem where I am unable to see the Site Metadata columns when I am uploading documents to a doc library. Here are the steps I followed I created a managed metadata service with my publishing site as my content hub.then I created my Termstore.Imported a csv file as my term setCreated Site Columns at the root level of the site from managed metadataCreated a Site Content type for a folder using the managed metadata columnswhen creating a doc lib I use the content type as my templatebut when I upload the docs to the lib the metadata is not being asked. in spite of seeing the site columns under columns of the doc library settings - the metadata text fields don't come up when I upload a document.I have to manually go and add the site columns again under columnsI also enabled the 'manage multiple content types' under doc library settings. This has become a roadblock for us if we have to manually add metadata columns to each library as we have hundreds of document libraries.
