Hi

I am getting this error when importing a site collection (export site is top level to import site is top level). 

the import log showed the process stopped at [Content and Structure Reports]   Error: A duplicate field name "8c4cfe39-587c-45b0-9754-71810a01c5e2" was found.

I found some relevant information about this happened when Importing a site with publishing template but I check an both the export and import sites are team site template.

Have anyone see this before and have found solution, please share.

Despite the template, if anyone has enabled other features, you will gain these lists and columns.  My suggestion is to backup the site, deactivate any unnecessary features, try to delete the problem list or column\field, then try again.

Last resort is to go into the export package and remove those items from it.

I spent several hours without any succeed and search / found many relevant hits but until I did what you suggested here.

Removing the duplicate Content and Structure list from the Manifest turned the trick for me.  Thanks for the suggestion!

This kind of error we will get if we manually creating the site column, for each environment internal id will be different, so when we upload site template form other environment, the internal name of the source and destination environements are different so it will give duplicate column issue.
