SharePoint 2007 timer does not work after migration
Hi every body I have migrated our SharePoint farm to a new farm. Every thing is fine exept the timer jobs. They are stoped after migration. My Serch does not start with schedules and my work flows that are useing some timing futures are not working too. Is there any idea. Thanks in advanced.

Hi there, Would need a bit more info please - whats the status of the relevant service accounts for search and timer - are they configured correctly i.e. not locked, password expired etc? What kind of migration was you carrying out? What errors are shown in the application event log, what errors are being shown - are they 6482, 6398, 7076 and are there any detail with those events? Cheers Geoff

Hi You should always check the status of your services after any major operation. Check that the Windows SharePoint Services Timer, the Windows SharePoint Services Search services are started in Services (Programs, Administrative Tools, Services). Check the status of your accounts against these services. Additionally, check the Event viewer Application Logs - what errors are you seeing there since they may lead you to what has caused the timer to shut down. Cheers Geoff
