SharePoint 2007 extendvs command and IIS application pool
MY environment: SharePoint 2007 + W2k3-R2.I have a PowerShell script to create a blank web application using extendvs. I have defined the application name.id, sethostheader etc etc.........the command runs ok (operation successful) and I can see the web application from SharePoint Central Administration. However, when I check the IIS I cannot find my Web application and it does not create the application I have defined. Instead it goes under port 80 (Default web site - which is stopped). I tried different port number but the result is the same. I am now totally confused...Happy to provide more info....thanks....Wai

Humm...thanks for the tips but we were going to use addcontentDb to attach the Web app to an existing content db....we tried the same script using BAT file instead of using PowerShell and somehow the problem goes away....not sure why because I was calling the same stsadm commands....anyway the problem goes away but gives me some doubts on PowerShell in SharePoint 2010.... (or being persimmistic)Thanks for your reply anyway.Wai
