SharePoint 2007 alert me sent out mail with wrong message
I have created a document library, and this doc library has set alert me. On this doc library, there is field name Category, this is a multiple check box with value like A, B, C, D. I uploaded a document Test.doc as sample with Category D, then the new added item alert email was sent out. And problem came out, in the alert email body, the item Text.doc with wrong Category A instead of D. I tried another two items again with Category B and C, but all these items with wrong Category A in the alert email body. Can any body give help on this? Thank you so much!

If it is a known issue there must be either a solution for it or a KB article or similar stating that it is a known issue - typically then with a suggestion for a workaround. Also if it is a known issue there is surely no point in reporting it to Microsoft via the site you specify. ---------------------------------------- Instead let us see if anyone here in the pre-SP 2010 forums has any help to give. The KB article for Alerts below is not for this issue but may include a possible solution anyway. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;953446 You will notice that one of the reasons given there was that there was a default value. Could you try your scenario without having Category A as the default value? Mike Walsh P.S. Of course if you don't have a default value then this idea is worthless, but if you have specified a default value then the first option in the list (Category A) is what is chosen if you don't specifically specify something else. So it might be your situation.
