SharePoint 2007 Extranet not receiving alerts
Hi, I have problem in sharepoint 2007 extranet alerts, I do receive the initial email that an alert is created but after making any changes in the document library particularly Shared Documents, I cannot receive any alerts anymore. We also have intranet but there are no problems in alerts. Our extranet and intranet has both outbound SMTP server, same settings, is that configuration okay? I've also checked timer job status and immediate alerts are successful. I've also tried to set the cache.ini to 1 and clear xml files suggested in some forums. Can someone help? Thanks in advance! Hi, Make sure all IPs of your WFE server is added into the allow relay list of your SMTP server.Thanks, Rahul Rashu

Hi Rahul, I've tried to ping test the SMTP server inside the WFE server and it is open or allowed. Does it mean that my WFE server is added in the allow relay list of the SMTP server? Thanks, Eric
