SharePoint 2007 - Windows Server 2008 - HTTP Error 401.2 - Unauthorized
Hi, I just installed SharePoint 2007 on Windows Server 2008 (including the updates for SP 2007) and all seemed to work fine. But now when I try to go to localhost, orCentral Administration (or any of the SharePoint sites) I get the following error (and I am setup as Administrator on this computer) Also I did a Standalone Install of SharePoint 2007 so it just installed the defaults through the entire install process. HTTP Error 401.2 - Unauthorized You are not authorized to view this page due to invalid authentication headers. And below that... Kind Regards, Grant.

Hi, I upgraded from Server 2003 to 2008 and I'm getting exactly the same error message while trying to access Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 - ActiveSync. While loading https://servermachine/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync, the HTTP-Error above shows up. I tried to use certificates for authentication. With username/password, everything works fine. Hi Grant, Had the same issue myself on a VM earlier and fixed it by adding the Windows Authentication role service to the IIS Server Role in Server Manager ... It does not get installed with IIS 7 by default ! Cheers, Kevin.
