SharePoint 2007 - HTML code displays when edit task on new pc
Hi guys. I have a new laptop that is an identical setup to my office pc - Windows 7 Professional, IE 8, Office 2010. On this new laptop when I go into a SharePoint task and click Edit I get what appears to be HTMLcode? Here is an example: <div dir=ltr><font face=Calibri>30-11-10 CW - Looked into YouSendIt and sent email with details to JG for us to look at at our next meeting.</font></div> <div dir=ltr><font face=Calibri>11-11-10 CW - Look into YouSendIt file and whether to get the professional one - with a view to all associates sending audio files to jan for her to save on ext hddrive.</font></div> The SharePoint hosting company say that it is probably a browser problem. Any ideas very welcomed. :D

Hi, If you have rich text field (multiline with rich text editor) and are using browser other than IE then given behaviour is expected. Check the site in IE browser. MOSS 2007 is not fully compatible with other browsers like firefox, safari etc. as MOSS 2007 uses ActiveX controls which are not supported by these browsers. More information: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263526.aspx Hope this helps. Regards.
