Hello,

I have a few clients that no longer get (or even request I am not sure) their distribution point. 

On an healthy client, I can see the following in LocationServices.log:

Calling back with the following distribution points LocationServices 3/12/2013 6:40:43 AM 5720 (0x1658)
Distribution Point='http://XXX/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/82d8279f-47b7-4249-bad5-75d0a965e636', Locality='LOCAL', DPType='SERVER', Version='7804', Capabilities='<Capabilities SchemaVersion="1.0"><Property Name="SSLState" Value="0"/></Capabilities>', Signature='http://XXX/SMS_DP_SMSSIG$/82d8279f-47b7-4249-bad5-75d0a965e636.1.tar', ForestTrust='TRUE', LocationServices 3/12/2013 6:40:43 AM 5720 (0x1658)

On a client not properly working, I don't see the above lines. I can see MP is assigned, WSUS is assigned, but no reference at all about distribution point.

But I see the following...

MPLIST requests are throttled for 00:03:15 LocationServices 3/12/2013 6:13:14 PM 5856 (0x16E0)

(...)

1 assigned MP errors in the last 10 minutes, threshold is 5. LocationServices 3/12/2013 6:31:04 PM 4112 (0x1010)

Both clients are part of the same subnet, and I confirm boundary groups are properly configured to assign DP. Network configuration has not changed, and it was working fine before.

Any idea ?

Since no one has answer this post, I recommend opening  a support case with CSS as they can work with you to solve this problem.
