Several Domains in SCCM
Hello, I have one SCCM Server which is handlings servers from Several domains. What is the best practice to identify the systems per domain? or is it just useless? For us the owner of the various domains might not be the same and also there are test domains, development domains, etc... SCCM can handle multi-domain from a single site very easily. You just need to manually type in the FQDN when you are setting up AD discovery so that you can browse to the domain and select the OU's you would like to search. If they are not in the same forest then that's a different story. John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum |

Hello, What is the best practice for the accounts? should they be the same for all domains? - Client Push Installation - Network Access Account Is it possible to have different account? I see only 1 service account listed under System Center Configuration Manager > Site Database > Site Management > SRV > Site Settings > Client Agents or I see several accounts under System Center Configuration Manager > Site Database > Site Management > SRV > Site Settings > Accounts one service account for Client Push Installation one service account for Network Access Account (the same as Client Agent) two accounts not configured ... they are the Administrators of the server Under System Center Configuration Manager > Site Database > Security Rights > Users I see all the users but no service account. But how to add an account if possible? Thanks, DomSystem Center Operations Manager 2007 / System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 Support

I never use a client push install account. Instead I use the site servers machine accounts by placing them into an AD group and add that group to local admins using a GPO. You can only have 1 network access account per site that is set on the Computer Client Agent. John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum |

1 Network access account only I have also this 1 site servers machine accounts in the local admins group using GPO but for out-of domain servers (out of the site server domain) I would like to use another account... I might end adding a new site server for them but this will defy the fact to have a centralizes sire for the servers. Let me check with the Security & ENgineering why they do not want to use the machine account. Thanks, DomSystem Center Operations Manager 2007 / System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 Support
