I want to setup the value of a hidden dropdown list through javascript in sharepoint list form. It works fine in IE 11 and other browsers but in IE 10 when number of items are more then 20 then it changes the dropdown list html element from select to input type text with choices. 

I am able to setup the value for dropdown list input type text for IE 10 but when values does not save in the list when I save the item.

Any solution would be appreciated.
