Set visibility of aggregate row based on parameter
Hi, My report requires the following: <AllRegions> < 5 days <AggregateCount> 5-10 days <AggregateCountt> 10-20 days <AggregateCount> 20-30 days <AggregateCount> <Region1> < 5 days <count> 5-10 days <count> 10-20 days <count> 20-30 days <count> <Region2> < 5 days 2 5-10 days 0 10-20 days 0 20-30 days 1 etc I have got the above format by adding a newrow above the regiongroup with Static content 'All regions' and then adding another dayrange group to it as parent of the region group. Now my issues is bases on 'Select regions' Parameter I do not want to show the 'All' when only specific regions are selected. Right clicking on the row above regiongroup that has 'All regions' shows 'Row Visibility' disabled on the popup. Would appreciate any help on this. Right-Click on a Row and select "Row Visibility" Click the radio button "Show or Hide base on an expression" then click the Expression eslipsis next to it. Put in an expression such as =Paramters!MyParam.Value = "All Regions" Just know that the nomenclature for this radio selection is a bit confusing. It SHOULD be labeled "Show based on the following Exprssion being true" (because it actually sets the "Visibile" property) (I think). Play with it. If that doesn't work, change the = to <> and render. Start small with ONE row and a VERY simple expression that you KNOW how it evaluates (like = 1 = 1 (always evaluates to TRUE!)Todd C - MSCTS SQL Server 2005, MCITP BI Dev 2008 Please mark posts as answered where appropriate.

Hi Todd, I find 'RowVisibility' disabled on the context menu of row as I mentioned in the above post. My first issue is I am not able to figure out why this is disabled. Please let me know if you know when this would be disabled Thanks, Haripriya

Hi, I want to hide a row based on expression from the table on my report. I do not understand why the 'Row Visibility' is disabled on the row. Any ideas? Thanks, Hari

HI Hari ! Are you sure you have row groups on your table. Please let me know if you are using tablix or table. Please use tablix and create row group and you will be able to see "Row Visibility" option enabled when you click at Group Level Row. Please let me know if this helps. Hopefully i have answered you correctly. Thanks, Hasham

Hi Haripriya, Base on my test, the visibility property is disabled in the scenarios below: The Column Visibility option is not available for Row Headers in matrix. The Column Visibility option is not available for the column which contains a row group. The Row Visibility option is not available for the row which contains a column group. In your scenario, it seems that you add a column for the cell which contents All regions, so the visibility option of this row is disabled. Hope this helps. Regards, Charlie Liao
