Set repeat event detection in window event monitor
I can create single event detection in window event monitor and set below content in alerting tab (alert description field). Follow this setting, it can retrieve the event log detail and display into scom alert. But when i create repeat event detection and apply same setting, the scom alert can't show event log detail. What is problem and how to fix it ? Event Description: $Data [Default='']/Context/EventDescription$

I faced the similar issue few days back. Try creating a new one, delete the existing one and see if new one has event description

Hi, I would like to suggest you try $Data/Context/Context/DataItem/EventDescription$. For more information, please refer to: Repeating event monitor alert description variables don't work http://blogs.technet.com/b/kevinholman/archive/2008/02/01/repeating-event-monitor-alert-description-variables-don-t-work.aspx Hope this helps.
