Set Report Builder 3.0 as Default Click Once Report Builder Version
Hello joeller, The report builder 3.0 path is very similar to 2.0. For Native mode: /ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_3_0_0_0.applicationFor Sharepoint Integrated mode: /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_3_0_0_0.application In addition, if you leave Custom Report Builder launch URL empty in the Site Settings page in native mode, it will also use the Report builder 3.0 by default. If it need more information, please tell us. Regards, EdwardEdward Zhu TechNet Community Support

Thanks. As I suspected when they updated the server's SS version the setting was left the same. Using the 3_0_0_0.application path they were able to get the thing working. Again thanks for your help.Edward R. Joell MCSD MCDBA

We have a SSRS server that was at SS 2008 then was updated to SS 2008 R2. When the server was stood up the DBAs did not understand how to set Report Builder 2.0 to be the Default Click Once Report Builder Version. We were able explain to them how to do that with the Tech Net article http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd795295(SQL.100).aspx. "How to: Set Report Builder 2.0 as the Default ClickOnce Report Builder Version". Yesterday they upgraded that server to SS 2008 R2. Now Report Builder ClickOnce does not work at all. The article in Tech Net "How to: Set Report Builder 1.0 as the Default ClickOnce Report Builder Version" at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff487480(v=sql.105) states that Report Builder 2.0 will not work for SS 2008 R2 and explains how to set the default ClickOnce to Report Builder 1.0. It is my theory that the update to SSRS 2008 R2 left the setting for the default ClickOnce version pointing to the folder for Report Builder 2.0 which does not exist in SS 2008 R2, and that to get Report Builder ClickOnce working again they would need to point it to the folder for Report Builder 3.0. However I have not found anything to indicate what the name of that folder is. Since we need to give these DBA precise instructions in order to get them to discover the issues, I would need the name of that folder. Does anyone know the name of this folder. Edward R.
