Hi, I know that this is very very ugly way of doing it, but seeing no option, you might have to kill "Svchost" service from task manager. Now, In task manager, you see many occurances of SVCHOST.exe and you need to identify and kill the one running Webclinet service. The article below will help to identify the correct instance. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial129.html just kill the process and we should have webclient in stopped mode. In task manager, go to view-> select colums, select PID. At the command prompt type tasklist /svc /fi "imagename eq svchost.exe" and press the enter key. this will show svchost , service running against it and the PID. Check the PID for the SVCHOST running against webclinet in the task manager find the SVChost for the PID and kill it.I LOVE MS..... THANK YOU, My pleasure Well, thats not the solution, we would need to check and work as on why this service is being in stopping mode. Please install latest service pack and hotfixes on the machine.I LOVE MS..... Thanks and Regards, Kshitiz (Posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.)
