Hi, I've this problem since 3 days ago. Suddenly my sharepoint site and its administration page cannot be viewed with the error above. my work around is disconnect the sharepoint server from farm and reconnect again but not make the server to host the administration page. i add new test server to host the administration page. everything goes well with the administration page. everything restored. but still, i'm unable to access the sharepoint site. any idea? All, i'm not sure if this the solution of my problems or not. i was trying to connect the sharepoint server to the content databae again without assigning it as the administration page, because the configuration will fail. it works fine now, its just that the administration page is now on the test server. question is, why does it failing when i assign the "real" sharepoint server to host the administration page? Hi, When this issue happens check the IIS and application pools if they are stopped or not. If you are using SSL then make sure that you have assigned unique IP address to each site in IIS. I hope this will help you out.Thanks, Rahul Rashu

Hi, So, does the step below correct? 1. Disconnect the test server and removing its role as the administration page host 2. Ran the SharePoint Central Administration on the IIS of the "real" SharePoint server 3. Reconnect to configDB and assign the "real" server to host the administration page again Regards,AddinGanteng
