Servers appearing in the 'All Clients' group
At our SCE server I realizedareally strange behaviour:suddenly most servers are appearing in the 'All Clients' group too.As consequence servers get updates andsoftware that is approved only to 'all Clients' group!I don't understand this because 'All Clients' is a auto-populated group!?Additionally, don't know if this is related to the issue,I get the following errorevery time looking into the 'All Clients' groups:' Date: 20.03.2009 15:48:45Application: System Center EssentialsApplication Version: 6.0.1885.0Severity: ErrorMessage: Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Common.ObjectNotFoundException: An object of type PartialAgentManagedComputer with Id 9c2af04b-5e40-dfab-ca53-e3965923ca06 was not found. bei Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Administration.ManagementGroupAdministration.GetPartialAgentManagedComputer(Guid computerId) bei Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.SCE.Internal.UI.Console.OpsMgrSdkHelper.<>c__DisplayClass4.<GetPartialAgentManagedComputer>b__3(Object , ConsoleJobEventArgs ) bei Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Mom.Internal.UI.Console.ConsoleJobExceptionHandler.ExecuteJob(IComponent component, EventHandler`1 job, Object sender, ConsoleJobEventArgs args)'Does anyone see this behaviour too or know what's the reason and how to solve this? Thanks,PeterPeter

Hi Eric, yes, these servers still appear in "All Servers" group in SCE console.Deleting one of these servers from SCE it is still appearing in "All Clients" and "All Servers" groups!Re-deploying the agent this server didn't change the problem. In meantime I detected a virtual XP machine in the "All Servers" group.Only the manually created computer groups ar working correct; it seems that the calculation of automatic group membership is totally confused.Peter

Hi Eric,I checked the WSUS console: the groups are all identical including the chaos of clients appearing in "All Servers" and servers appearing in "All Clients" group. So it seems that SCE is causing the chaos and is synchronizing it down to WSUS.Also inadditional configured (static) groups computers not belonging to this group are shown in meantime; looking into the properties of these static groups only the correct members are shown!Peter

Hi Peter,Did you import third-party MP in SCE?If you did, please remove these MPs, then re-deploy an agent to a server for a test and check whether it will be in "All Clients" group again.

Hi Eric, there are none third-party MPs on this SCE server. The last changes to SCE were 14 days ago:- Hotfix KB958490 installed- Import of the following MS- MPs:* MS Windows IIS MP 6.0.6539.0* MS SQL MP 6.0.6460.0* MS VMM 2008 MP 2.0.3451.0But I thought in MP import - especially VMM MP - as cause too ...Peter

Hi Eric,in meantime I deleted the suspicious VMM MPbut although this happens several days before the same 13 servers still appear in the 'All Clients' group. Most of this servers are VMs but some HW servers too.In authoring pane I compared the group membership rule of'all Clients' with the same rule on other SCE servers showing correct membership informations: no difference! The same 13 servers appear in a manually created static group too that should only contain one of this servers.Looking into the properties of this group, only the1 server that should be member of thisgroup, is shown! What could be else the cause of this issue? Thanks for further assistance..Peter

Hi Eric, thanks for your suggestion. But the latest Windows Client (6.0.6520.0) and Server (6.0.6321.5) MPs were just imported short after they were published (february 09 / november 08).Do you think this MPs are corrupted?Peter
