Server with SCCM agent crashed, stood up another server with same hostname - how to assign agent?

Hi,

I have a SCCM 2012 R2 infrastructure and one of my managed servers with the SCCM agent on it died and cannot be recovered.

I have now built another server (with another SID etc) with the same hostname and IP. I want to put the agent on this server but of course, SCCM lists the original server with the same name as having the agent. What is the best way to clean this up? Can I select "Delete" from the agent in the SCCM console on the original server?

Just delete the old one from the console and install the client on the new one.
