Hi, I am very new to SCCM, fighting hard to get over this steep learning curve. I have SCCM 2007 set up on a lab manager running Server 03. I'm trying to test deploying company products to client machines to have them installed silently. My clients systems (just 2) are running Server 03 R2 and XP Professional (both are also virtual machines). All 3 systems are in the same Domain, in a defined site boundary in SCCM and with AD schema extended. The clients systems can be viewed in All Systems under Collections also. My problem is the site isn't configured properly thus I am unable to install the SCCM client on any of my client systems. My server is set up in mixed mode. Under Site system status i get a SMS_WSUS_CONFIGURATION_MANAGER error, even though i checked and manually installed WSUS. The message detail says this might also be a WSUS contact error. Same for SMS_WSUS_CONTROL_MANAGER. There is also a SMS_WSUS_SYNC_MANAGER error saying WSUS server not configured, even though it is running in IIS. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm beginning to think this might not be just a WSUS problem, though it is also an issue. This is what i see in my ccm.log CWmi::Connect(): ConnectServer(Namespace) failed. - 0x8004100e~ $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Feb 09 11:00:30.359 2011 Central Standard Time><thread=8696 (0x21F8)> ---> Unable to connect to WMI (r) on remote machine "CONFIG231VM0", error = 0x8004100e. The problem is CONFIG231VM0 is not a remote machine, it is the system with SCCM installed. Any help?
