Sending Email Alerts to External Contacts
Hi,
I am having some requirements in sending the Email Alert to external contacts which are not in AD. I have enabled the Form Based Authentication (FBA) on the web application for the External user access who are not in the AD. I want to send the Email Alert
to the External users which are not in the AD.
The Email Alert in the MOSS 2007 is based on the USER and PROFILE PROPERTIES page and the FBA user details should be imported the User profiles page with the External Email ID (Like
testuser@gmail.com).
How can I import the FBA users to the user profiles? Is there any other way to send the Email alerts to the external users from the SharePoint site?
Please help us to get the solution in this issue.

Hi,
If you successfully configure FBA, SharePoint will get the email address from the SQL membership provider.
