Senders And How They Calculate Available Bandwidth
Could someone clarify my understanding ?
I have a multi site environment that has multiple primary sites and a 25% out of hours and 10% in hours bandwidth restriction on them all.
It seems to be taking an age to distribute my packages to the distribution points, i think from the calculations i can see in the sender.log that it is seeing an 8mb link as 4mb and then giving me 10% of the 4mb. Hence an 10% of available bandwidth
not 10% of total bandwidth (50% of which is in use by other stuff ?)
Can anyone confirm my understanding or let me know any different, i want to up my link %'s but am obviously concerned that i dont start congesting the links.
Any advice much appreciated
