Send email via workflow to Active Directory Group

Hi,

I have SP2013 farm with exchange 2013.

I created a security group via exchange console and add users to this group.

Through SharePoint designer 2013 I created a workflow that send email when new item is created.

when I add users from Active directory to mailing list it is working OK,

when I want to add security group from Active directory and press OK, I get this message:

in the group properties "Require that all senders are authenticated" is unchecked.

need help with this issue.

Thanks,

Lior

Hi Lior,

I could reproduce this issue when I created a SharePoint 2013 workflow and sent an email to the group created in Exchange server.

In SharePoint designer, we can set up a security group as an Email recipient. However, if the Email recipient is not valid on the site your workflow is published on, you will receive the error message.

Therefore, if you'd like to make sure the Security Groups both as allowed to access a SharePoint Site and as the valid recipient of an Email within a 2013 list workflow. You can create a SharePoint Group in SharePoint site directly.
