Self Service Password Reset registration in FIM 2010
Hi, We have one requirement like this. When user is trying to register his/her password, the user need to select and set Q & A from Self Service password registration portal. So user will select by default question from the drop down(after the configurations are done in FIM portal). So we have one requirement like for every user should select or pre-poulate by default two questions mandatory for registrations. A part from these two questions he/she will select 3 more question from drop down. Is it possible in SSPR portal in FIM 2010

You can set up a pool of questions, but only make it required to answer a defined number of them. They can answer more than required. So in your case, perhaps have 10 questions total, show five questions, but require 2 be answered. Does that sounds like what you need?Frank C. Drewes III - Architect - Oxford Computer Group

What you can't do, and what I think the OP was asking for was to force the users to answer 2 specific questions out of the 10 total and then let the user select which remaining 3 to answer. It is forcing them to answer 2 specific questions that isn't possible. Paul Adare MVP - Forefront Identity Manager http://www.identit.ca f u cn rd ths, u cn gt a gd jb n cmptr prgrmmng.

Good catch Paul.. Yes, you can do that by setting up two seperate workflows - one with two questions that must both be answered and another with the other questions. The user will see two sets of questions during both the registration and reset process. Interestingly, you could make one, the other, or both - required for reset - could be an interesting twist in an intranet vs.extranet scenario.Frank C. Drewes III - Architect - Oxford Computer Group

I have two challenges here is like.. If EmployeeID is an mandatory attribute that needs to be set as a chanllenge question and whatever the user is entering the answer for employeeid should be validated against AD in the registration process it self. Then only the QA gate 1 should get success after validating EMPLOYEEID with AD.In QA gate2 I have another set of question i can set. Or else If user is selected 3 general QA(What is your favorite color?, What city were you married in?,In what state were you born?) in password registration process. While resetting his/her password, the user should get the selected 3 questions as well as he should get the questions like Enter EmployeeID and Manager mailID also mandatory questions while resetting the password. Any one of the case is possible in FIM 2010?
