Self Service Password Portal -
When I attempt to reset a user password from the portal I am getting this error- The user name you entered does not have permission to use self-service password reset. Can anyone point me to the right place to start looking- I have followed the Doc's and can change a password from a workstation - ScottSscribner

Do a search on your mpr's for password, and enable the password reset mprs. I don't have them in front of me, but you should be able to see them fairly quickly.Joe Stepongzi - Identity Management Consultant - ILM MVP - www.microsoftIdM.com,ilmXframework.codeplex.com

it's confusing because it only asks u to enter username.. it expects domain\username . the UI will be improved in coming release... very soon It's really the same sets of MPR that governs SSPR registration and resetThe FIM Password Reset Blog http://blogs.technet.com/aho/

I am having the same issue, so i want to customize the page to show an example to my users since we are a multi domain setup. the problem I have is that I cannot seem to be able to customize the password portal page to say " domain\username". Does anyone have any examples that they can share?

are u using RTM (build 2592)? If yes, there is quite a improvement in the UI in RTM Update 1. Try that first and see if you are satisfy with that. The FIM Password Reset Blog http://blogs.technet.com/aho/
