Secondary site settings inheritence?
1. We just setup SCCM on several secondary sites. If I set items like Client Push installation; Discovery methods on the Central site, will these be the default settings on secondary sites? Or do I need to define these settings at the secondary
site level? i.e. if I set Discovery methods to search EVERY AD site we have, I'm thinking I would not need to go to the SCCM secondary site setting and specify Discovery methods for just that site?
2. What about other Primary sites? Will they receive settings from the central site or do I need to define them for the other primary site?

Those settings are site specific (discovery, push and so on) and are not replicated down.
Avoid discovering the same objects more than once.
Clients can only be assigned to primary sites (although they do make use of the secondaries proxy MP and DP(s)), so client related settings are taken from the primary.

Ok. So for the secondary site, under discovery methods I should just set the "companyname.com/Sites/ARC/Workstation" OU for this location. On the central site, I have discovery set to run on all sites. Should I remove the Central
site from discovering all objects for all sites, under "companyname.com/Sites?"
Does this same principle the same for AD Security Group Discovery?

Hi,
Yes you can let the secondary site discover the local ressources. For AD Security group discovery I would configure it at the central site.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund
