Secondary site error after demoting it as Domain Controller

I hope someone can help me with this one

We have the following problem with our secondary site's management point after our secondary site server role is changed and is no longer a Domain Controller (now just a secondary sccm server). Unfortunately my collegue has not stopped the SCCM services before demoting the domain controller.

We receive the following error on the MP point

"MP Control Manager detected management point is not responding to HTTP requests.  The HTTP status code and text is 401, Unauthorized."

The secondary server computer account is a member of the primary site 'site to site connection account'.

Is there a possibility to reset the secondary site , if so can someone tell me how to do that or do we have other possibilities to solve this issue ?

Thx in advance

Regards

Johan

is the server still member of domain ? check if the primary site server computer account member of local administrator group on your secondary site.

Did you start the services on the Secondary site ? what does the log (mpcontrol.log)says ? have you tried re installing the MP role on your secondary ?

There is no way to restore the secondary site server in Configmgr 2007 except deinstall and install .

Thx for the responce

I manage to fix it after reinstalling the management point

Unfortunately this was not enough , but after checking Hman.log and sitecomp.log I noticed that both objects in the systeman mangement container where corrupted (the rights are correct FC for both  primary site server and secondary site server), after deleting these  and let SCCM regenerate these objects again the problem is solved
