Search Results are not returned with the Site collections in Sharepoint 2010 Compatibility mode

Hi,

We have migrated content from Sharepoint 2010 to Sharepoint 2013

We have configured Search and Search Full crawl completed successfully

We are able to search for content in sites with Sharepoint 2013 Look and feel

Issue: We are unable to search for content in sites with Sharepoint 2010 Look and feel. We want these sites to be run in SP 2010 Compatibility mode.

Please suggest me with your thoughts

Many thanks

Hi Venkat,

As I understand, you cannot search the content in sites with SharePoint 2010 look and feel after migrating content form SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013.

You could check if the content in sites with SharePoint 2010 Look and feel has been crawled in the crawl log.

You also could check if you have migrated content from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013 successfully. You could refer to troubleshooting steps in the article below.

The article below is about troubleshooting database upgrade issues in SharePoint 2013.

Hi Sara,

This is not a issue with Migration.

When we did migration, We have migrated the content from old environment and we kept it with Sharepoint 2010 Look and Fell.

Also, We had site collections in the existing environment with Sharepoint 2013 Look and Feel

We have created and Configured Search from the Scratch after the migration.Full Crawl has been completed successfully.

We are able to fetch results from the site with 2013 look and feel but results are not returned from the site with 2010 look and feel

in the crawl log can you identify if the items from the sites with SPS2010 lock and feel are indexed? Can you access your sites with the default access account?

In the IIS logs you can identify also  if your content access account can access and crawl the content.

Hi Venkat,

In addition to Bogdan Coamesu, you could check if you have added the site address with SharePoint 2010 look and feel in the content source.

You also could check if the site with SharePoint 2010 look and feel has been crawled in the crawl log. ( Go to crawl log->select the content source you use->view crawl history->select all->then click the content source you use->then you could search the site URL or content source of the site with SharePoint 2010 look and feel )

Best regards,
