Search Connector Space questions
Hi, Looking at the 'Search Connector Space' in FIM. Why/when would we see either 'true' or 'false' under "Connector" column? Why does it say 'false' under "Explicit" column? Thank you

Hi, An object in the CS can be in one of four states: Connector, Disconnector, Explicit Connector, Explicit Disconnector. Connectors are objects from the connected system that are connected to an object in the Metaverse. Disconnectors are objects that are imported to the CS but not joined to a MV object (or projected as a new MV entry). These are processed in synchronizations and can potentially join/project depending on your join and projection-rules. Explicit Connectors are CS objects that are manually joined to a MV object by an administrator using Joiner. Explicit Disconnectors are manually disconnected objects that can only be joined to a MV object using Joiner, and is not processed for projection/join during synchronizations. You can find a pretty good glossary of FIM-terminology here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj572789(v=ws.10).aspx. And http://certsrv.ru/fim2010.en/html/052b29d6-25b5-4aa8-ac73-a4a87f1fb00d.htm seems to explain the FIM object model pretty nicely. Best Regards Tobias
