Search: Internal server error exception
Hello, Hoping someone can offer some insight into this. We are getting users reporting sporadic behavior with search. On some occassions they get the error below. Internal Server error exception. Troubleshoot with Microsoft SharePoint server. Correlation ID: changes on each one. I have been able to duplicate this. If I spend 5 minutes doing a search perhaps once or twice I get the same error. However, if I go back and try it again it works without a problem. So no particular search and it also happens if there are 3 results returned or 20 results returned. Is there something that can cause this 'hiccup' with search. it doesn't appear to be down, it just seems to hiccup. I checked the events using log viewer. Nothing is showing for the times of the error, except for one time I found this error. SQL Database 'INTRANET_Search_Service_Application_CrawlStoreDB_####' on SQL Server instance Databaseserver\account' not found. Additional error information from SQL Server is included below. Cannot open database "INTRANET_Search_Service_Application_CrawlStoreDB_###" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'domain\serviceaccount'. However, this has only popped up once around the time of the error. Any ideas? Thanks LSTalbot

Hi, This needs to be checked from each WFE. Login to every WFE and carry out search operations and check if it happening from a specific server or not. Thanks, Rahul Rashu
