Script Component after OLE DB Command
hi, I execute an OLE DB Command (insert) for all no marching lookup rows. After that I use a Script Component to set a boolean variable to 1 (true) to indicate a new data has been inserted (I use that variable later on in teh package to do some logging). Even if there is no data coming from the source, thus no data flowing via No Match Output, the Script Component executes setting the variable to 1 (?!). Why the script executes? Should not it executes only when there is some data flowing via no match output, in this case? How to indicate that the OLE DB Command was executed? Thanks.Krystof Malak

No The script component will execute even if there is no data for this you can use a separate variable in which you can record the count of rows and then use this variable to perform the rest of the logic -------------------------------------------------------- Surender Singh Bhadauria
