Schedule a meeting via Lync 2013 client

Hi All,

quick run down of my set up,

Exchange 2013 SP1 (no UM) and new installation of Lync 2013 FE with Feb 2015 cumulative updates (no Ent voice )

haven't integrated Exchange with Lync.

my problem is when i try to schedule a meeting with a colleague via Lync 2013 client it says "no free/busy information could be retrieved and if i let it stay open for 5 min it will come up or unless I unselect and reselect the user the information comes up.

any idea what's causing thus and how to fix it?

Thanks in advance

Hi Lakshantha,

It seems that Outlook add the SMTP address as a attendee but does not look up the name for address resolution immediately.

I suggest you can also post a question on Office forum to verify whether or not it is a normal behavior.

Best regards,

Eric

Hi Anthony,

My free / busy information is working if I schedule a meeting with Outlook 2013 including via Outlook Anywhere.

If I click check name then free/ busy information will come up.

Im trying to get it to work from first go.

I have verified WES permissions as per the external post and tried Autodiscover SRV record as well but the issue is there.

Do you also have the A record populated for AutoDiscover, is EWS working in general?  http://lyncuc.blogspot.com/2013/01/lync-and-exchange-web-services-ews-and.html

yes we do have the AutoDiscover record and from exchange prospective EWS is working fine.

Is the SMTP address (Email address) and the SIP address (Lync sign in address) same?
