Is it possible in SSRS 2008 R2 to save just a map layer as a report part? Or do I need to save the whole map with the layer I want, and then everyone who wishes to use it would start from that map, and add their data on different layers?

Hi jonmcrawford, By design, in order to save a map layer as report part in the report server, we need to save the whole mapl with the layer as you mentioned.
