Hi all,

When I save a site as template, it is retaining the parent's WebTemplate name. Example. If I create a site template from a PROJECSITE template, the new site template still has PROJECSITE listed as its WebTemplate name instead of the new site template of MYPROJECSITE.

How can I get the WebTemplate name to reflect that it is a unique template?

Are there any properties others have used to query the Web object? (ex. Only show me the sites Where WebTemplate = MYPROJECTSITE)

You cannot change the OOB web template Name.

If I save a site as a template, shouldn't it's name be unique and not the same as the parent? (ex. Save site as template named "MyProjectSite" should have a WebTemplate name of "MyProjectSite", but instead it keeps inheriting the parents WebTemplate name of "PROJECTSITE")
