SUMMARIZER doesn't working
I have installed Config Mgr 2007 SP2 . SQL Ba se is separately on another server. The server doesn't receive any information from clients about advertisements, updates. In my guess I have a one problem with SMS_SITE_SYSTEM_STATUS_SUMMARIZER, but there are more then one type of warnings in ConfigMgr Status Message Viewer: 1. The 1 of 30 client sent installation status correctly, but most of them have the following warning: The program for advertisement "0012000C" failed ("00100042" - "FlashPlayer10"). A failure exit code of 1618 was returned. User context: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Possible cause: Systems Management Server (SMS) determines status for each program it executes. If SMS cannot find or correlate any installation status Management Information Format (MIF) files for the program, it uses the program's exit code to determine status. An exit code of 1618 is considered a failure. Solution: For more information on the exit code, refer to the documentation for the program you are distributing. This program will be retried. 2. Message ID 4506 Text: Unable to open the site control file. 3. Sometimes there is an error: Due to an internal error, SMS Status Manager could not initialize an in-memory queue to forward status messages to the summarizer component SMS_COMPONENT_STATUS_SUMMARIZER. The summarizer distills the stream of status messages into a high-level summary, which you can view under the System Status node of the SMS Administrator console. Until this problem is fixed, the high-level summary will be inaccurate or not available. Please refer to your SMS documentation or the Microsoft Knowledge Base for further troubleshooting information. 4. And, rarery: Unable to initialize the summarizer. The returned error code is 13 I looked in logs, changed account in different roles and agents - from machine to exact user and vice-versa. But I havn't a succcecc already for a week. Also I tryied to install hotfixes 954960 and 945898. But hotfixes are not valid for SCCM Please advice!

Regarding #1, exit code of 1618: that a perfectly valid advertisement status messages. I see those all the time. that's an MSI return code for that specific computer's ability to install that specific program. #2: sounds mildly scary! But... there's no context around that error. perhaps you were attempting to do some action that wasn't supported? #3/#4: I would open up a support call with Microsoft. Troubleshooting Status summarizer issues in a forum is difficult at best. There's lots of logs to look through, someone would have to get to know how your environment is configured, what settings you have, etc. It would be difficult to do that in a forum thread.Standardize. Simplify. Automate.

No status-->check if the computers have recived the policy or not ? it seems that none of the computers have recived the information about policy .check the advertisement schedule is it mandatory or optional ? Try to run machine policy on client and see if thet start recing the it by monitoring policyagent.log and execmgr.log ? //Eswar Koneti @ http://eskonr.wordpress.com/
