SSRS subreport: Data retrieval failed for the subreport
Hi there, I was hoping someone could help. I have a report that has been uploaded to a Reporting Services Document Library within SharePoint 2010. The report has a subreport and I am receiving an error in the subreport section of the report Data retrieval failed for the subreport, 'subreport1', located at: http://URLAddress/ReportName.rdl. Please check the log files for more information. The SharePoint Error is partly this: GetNewsByNumber(IndicatorValues,25) - Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException: List does not exist. The page you selected contains a list that does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user... I'm sure this is to do with the subreport within the Parent report. The subreport is already within the Report Library list. Is there something I have to do with the report/dataset to get the subreport working? Any help is much appreciated. Cheers

Hi Cidr, On a Report Server configured in SharePoint integrated mode, when we specify a path for an external item in a dialog box for subreport, we should specify the report name in an expression, with the full URL of the item and the file extension .rdl. For example, ="http://server/site/library/folder/Report1.rdl". For more information about specifying paths to external items, please see: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd220423(v=sql.110).aspx The following thread is about the same issue, you can take as reference: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlreportingservices/thread/47426c5a-47df-4817-ad35-7bd5bc1609f3/ Regards, Fanny LiuFanny Liu TechNet Community Support
